In continuation to virtual hard disk series(mediamax and mediafire), here is the thrid part.
Drop.io is an excellent file sharing and collaboration serivce. But what strikes is its uploading speed (ofcourse it depends on your internet speed),ease of use and clean interface. Uploading files is very fast compared to mediafire. It lets you create so called drops and use them as file storage boxes.
Best of all, there is absolutely no registration at all i.e,you need not share your email ID to avail the service.
Unique features of Drop.io:
1.You can customize the link (So called drops) ,as you can see in the above figure, by assigning suitable name. For example, if you upload your wedding pics, you can name the link as http:// drop.io/my-wedding-pics.
2.You can upload any number of files(but overall size of all the files should not exceed 100MB).But here the file size limit is 100MB to each drop. You can create any number of drops.
3.You can set the user password (optional) to access the drop ( i.e., to access files) 4.You can also set Admin Password (optional). This option enables you to change the user password, user access modes or delete the link(drop) and also like how many times it has been viewed, etc.
5.Drops can be shared with others on a veriety of access levels(as you can see in the above figure): i)view only: others can only be able to see what you put up, but can't otherwise interact with the dropii) view and comment: others can see the files you put up, and add their own comments and linksiii)view, comment, and add: others can add more files, comments, links, etc.
6.You can set the time limit to your drop from one day to one year.
7.When you create a drop, you not only get a custom url at drop.io/[adropname] but it also generate an email address [adropname]@drop.io – this way you can email files and notes directly into your drop. See the demo below (by CenterNetworks)
