Wednesday, March 12, 2008 @ 6:30 PM  ¦ StumbleUpon Toolbar Stumble It!  ¦
Pdfmenot is a free web application that lets you convert pdf files into flash files which can embedded in your blog or website. Moreover, no signup is required to use this cool service.

You can view pdf files in flash mode in your web browser without loading adobe pdf reader. You can zoom in and out and browse page by page through the file, but the downside is that it has no print and search function.

See the illustration below.

How it works.

You can convert pdf files into flash either by uploading from your computer or entering URL of the pdf file.

To save the converted flash file from firefox browser, in your Firefox menu bar, click Tools -> Page Info -> Media. Select the object that has an SWF extension (e.g. pdfmenot.com/store/d327b7110ca35b0b6b307b7e3c7c6c7f.swf) and save it to your disk.

If you use IE, go to the temporary internet files folder (the path may be like C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files) and Under internet address pdfmenot.com find the corresponding flash file under type column. Right-click the file and choose copy. Then paste the swf file in any other directory.

You can use pdfmenot in 3 ways.

1. You can create flash files from pdf files and embed it in your blog/website. For more info, refer
tools page.

2. You can view pdf files in your web browser without loading adobe pdf reader.

3. And lastly, you can use pdfmenot as your online pdf file storage manager that can be accessed for your future use.
