If you are designing a website and thinking of testing fonts for web usage,then Typetester is the best tool for you that allows you not only to test your fonts for web usage, but more importantly to compare the fonts online.
You can choose a maximum of 3 fonts to compare from a provided list, or from the fonts on your own computer. The provided list of fonts are grouped by ‘Web Safe’, ‘Win Default’ and ‘Mac Default’ which is great for cross browser designing.
The comparison functionality gives you a number of customization options. You can use the default latin text or specify your own test paragraph. You can control the font size, leading, alignment, tracking, decoration, spacing, color and background. Awesome. The generated comparisons show you all variations of bold, italics and small etc. Once you’re done comparing and you’ve chosen your ideal font setup, you can then generate the CSS for your fonts and copy it into your CSS file.
